Emmanuel Galvan founded Bolita in 2020. After years of making masa at home and working various roles in restaurants in San Francisco, Emmanuel launched Bolita in an effort to share his love and enthusiasm for Mexican heirloom masa (corn dough). Bolita offers masa, tortillas, various seasonal masa dishes, and salsas at farmers markets and pop-ups throughout the Bay Area. Find Bolita at Foodwise’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on Saturdays and Mission Community Market on Thursdays.
All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
